Statement

No national or international court or jury has found Drummond and its executives innocent of accusations of links to outlaw groups

False

Drummond has been exonerated of any responsibility in previous proceedings in the US.

For example, in 2016 the United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of Drummond Company and declined the request of the plaintiffs in Balcero v. Drummond to review the case, reaffirming the judgment given by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, confirming the dismissal of the case by the court on July 25, 2013, on the grounds that the plaintiffs relied on inadmissible rumors to support their claims and that these are not viable.

The Balcero case was first filed in May 2009 and was based on claims that Drummond Ltd. and two of its executives had allegedly been involved in human rights abuses in Colombia. The Court’s original ruling stated that the record “demonstrated a lack of evidence to support the Claimant’s case.”
